Looking forward to a nerdy overweight Barbie with greasy hair wearing a smelly black "My 192.168.0.1 is my castle" t-shirt while sitting in the dark, illuminated by the light of her screen only ...
Dear MsPhD -
Thank you for your blog. I have read it for a few years and I often feel as if I am reading something that I could have wrote. I appreciate you taking the time to write; you have made me feel less alone as a female STEM junior faculty.

Schneefreundin,
I'm not sure whether you mean that in a good way or not.
Anon,
Wow, thanks! I'm glad you like it!
And here I am just wanting your job! Sigh.
What can I say? Keep fighting the good fight.
Dear Ms PhD
Just wanted to give you a heads up on a recent post over at DrugMonkey about Francis Collin's recent announcements on NIH funding rollbacks and warnings on the egregious numbers of soft-money positions.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether this works fer postdocs or agin postdocs trying to make TT when you have the time.
