I just wasted half an hour of my life trying to reset folder permissions, only to find out that it was one of these automatic parent-child things taking over, so that no matter what I did, my folder kept reverting to read-only...

You non-mac users have no clue how much time you're wasting.

I hate windows too. (typed on my mac)
I emotionally agree, too. The only reason I use Windows are the apps. I have to use in this platform.
Windows is really so unstable, unpredictable and have to be pampered like treating a kid, begging it to work for me like I were supposed to pay each day, asking it to do what it is supposed to do for me.
I feel so disrespected by using Windows while on the other hand both MacOS and Linux make me feel I am in control EVERY SINGLE TIME I use them.
